So ....
Last night I had my first real DJ gig for a sweet 16 bday party. To be honest, I was a bit nervous prior to the event but by the time it started, I was fine. It went for 2 hours and about 45 minutes!
I've always wanted to secretly be a DJ and one day I jokingly got the opportunity to do it for my Church conference dance party, and from then on I've had people contacting me for party's. How crazy?! I actually quite enjoy it and look forward to doing way more!
What do I use?
I'm in the process of still learning and the software program I use is VirtualDJ Pro. This software is incredible and fairly easy to get used to...
How to dress for the proper event?
First, it depends on what kind of party you are DJ'ing.
If it's a birthday party, I would recommend wearing something comfortable but also fun! Below I will post a few pictures of what I wore previously.
If it's a black and white tie party, I would recommend dressing in a nice gown that is also comfortable but very classy.
It really all depends on the event.
Here's a few songs from the playlist I made: I went for dubstep and hip hop/pop....
Ke$ha- blow cirkut remix
Flux Pavilion- I can't stop
Cupid- Cupid Shuffle
V.I.C.- Wobble
Krewella- Alive hardwell remix
Katy Perry- E.T. Noisia remix
Flux Pavillion- Bass Cannon
Lastly: I ended with Justin Timberlake- Take Back The Night ...
With my playlist, I always check lyrics to make sure they are clean and to make sure it's talking about appropriate things for the audience.
